I created these instructions several years ago and thought I should share them in the hopes that you would find them useful and fun.
This Woven Braid Beaded Bracelet was a favorite among my students when teaching beadwork classes and I hope you will enjoy this little gem too! As you can see a simple change to the colors or the amount or size of beads used in the side portion of the braid will produce unlimited finished looks to this pattern.
Note: You are allowed to create as many of these wonderful little bracelets as you like for personal or commercial use. Just please do not sell the pattern as your own. If you would like to share the pattern, please only do so by linking to this page.

Material List:
1 tube Color #1 Seed Beads – Size 11*
1 tube Color #2 Seed Beads – Size 11*
Approx 24 to 28 – 6mm Glass Pearls or Round Beads
(dependent on length of bracelet)
1 needle size 12 long
2 yards of Crystal Color Fireline 6lb strength
1 piece of silver chain – 1 inch long
1 silver lobster or spring ring clasp
To Begin:
Thread needle onto thread approx ¾ up the thread to give you one side longer than the other. Do not knot thread! Securing your thread will be done later.
Step 1:
String on 5 Seed Beads (Color #1), 1 Clasp, and 5 more Seed Beads (Color #1), in that order.
Step 2:
Thread your needle back through all of the beads and clasp you strung in step 1 in the same direction to create a loop. (see fig. A) Make sure you leave a tail of thread next to the bead loop about 3-4 inches long.
Step 3:
Pull loop tight and knot working thread together with tail (see fig. B)
Step 4:
String on as many Pearls as needed for desired length minus 1 inch. (the subtracted inch will be added with the clasp) (see fig. C)
Step 5:
String on 5 Seed Beads (Color #1) the Length of Chain and 5 more Seed Beads (Color #1). Go back through the last 2 Pearls from Step 4 and exit out between the 2nd and 3rd Pearl. (see fig. D)
Step 6:
String on 10 Seed Beads (Color #2) go up and around the loop of Seed Beads and Chain that you added in Step 5 the go back down 2 Pearls. The thread should be exiting from between Pearls 2 and 3 once again but on opposite side of bracelet. (see Fig. E)
Step 7:
String 10 Seed Beads (Color #2) go up and around the loop of Seed Beads and Chain that you added in Step 5 the go back down 3 Pearls. Thread should be exiting from between Pearls 3 and 4 but on opposite side of bracelet. (see Fig. F)
Step 8:
String on 10 Seed Beads (Color #1). (Making sure you are on top of the Seed Beads from the previous 2 steps) Enter in 2 Pearls up from where your thread was exiting the line of Pearls and go back down those 2 Pearls so you will exit at the same place you started in this Step. (see fig. G)
Step 9:
String on 10 Seed Beads (Color #1). (Making sure you are on top of the Seed Beads from the previous 2 steps) Enter in 2 Pearls up from where your thread was exiting the line of Pearls and go back down 3 Pearls so you will exit out 1 Pearl down from the place you started in this Step. (see Fig. H)
Step 10:
Repeat Steps 8 & 9 alternating Seed Bead Colors until you exit out of the last pearl in the bracelet. Instead of traveling down 3 Pearls in the last step, run thread through the loop of Seed Beads and Clasp.
Step 11:
Tie off your thread securely, clip off remaining thread.
